PAYBACK is a film about money. Why we love it. Why we hate it, and why we can’t live without it
Commissioned by Phoenix Community Housing and Riverside Housing, made by The Working Party and Hide Productions, it was the culmination of a month long research project in South Lewisham during which 46 people were interviewed about debt and their relationship to money. These interviews were shaped into a short script which was filmed around Downham, Bellingham and Whitefoot with a mixed profressional and community cast.
When completed the film will be toured round local community organisations and used as the centre piece for a workshop that delves into everyone's least favourite subject; money and debt.
